Happy New Year! We hope you had a fantastic Christmas holiday and enjoyed your New Year celebrations.
We have launched straight back into work at school. Everyone enjoyed Hannah telling the story of ‘Golidlocks and the Three Bears’ and it inspired us to make big and small bear biscuits in our food technology lesson.
We’ve set up our role play area to be the three bears’ kitchen, and we have enjoyed acting out the story.
We have also been practising recognising our names and discussing our emotions. It’s important to talk about how we feel!
We are really looking forward to doing some work about ourselves, our families and our homes this half term. It’s going to be fun!
In other lessons we have been counting out amounts. It is quite a skill to point to each item, then remember how many all together. We have been encouraging the children to touch each object as it is counted, and to count slowly.
We really enjoyed our soft play session this week. It was the calmest session we have ever had!
Have a great weekend!
