Welcome back everyone.

We have had a lovely first week back and have done lots of hard work… as well plenty of fun things. We have spent some time exploring the changes that autumn has on our playground, looking at all of the leaves that have fallen and the changes in colour.

During cookery this week we made some carrot cookies. These were often eaten during the way so they have few ingredients but they are delightfully tasty. The children really enjoyed making them… but they enjoyed eating them more.

We also had our first session of tag rugby this week. The children all tried very hard and did some great listening to all of the instructions given to them by our instructor Reece. We learned all about throwing and kicking the ball as well as how to take people’s tags and the importance of running from people who are after your tag.

We would like to say a big well done to Kaitlin who earned our certificate this week for working so hard on her learning outcomes for reading & writing this week. She has been working on ‘sh’ words. Kaitlin can now read lots of ‘sh’ words from sight without needing to sound them out and she has been beginning to write some ‘sh’ words by segmenting to spell. She also completed all of her work sheets that were sent home during our isolation. Well done Kaitlin.

We hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend and we look forward to seeing you all next week.
