We had a lovely day on Monday at Beamish.

We were very lucky and got to go and see Santa in his Grotto! Santa kindly gave us a present each and some food to feed his reindeer.

We then headed to the pit village where we looked around the school; we were able to have a go at some of the old style playground games too! We then went for our lunch and one of the workers kindly lit the fire for us to warm up around whilst we ate our packed lunches. In the afternoon we got on the old bus and set off to the old town where we were able to look around the Christmas market. We bumped in to a police officer on our way to the shops and he let us have a go of his handcuffs, we also got him to arrest Phil!

We then finished our adventure and went to the sweet shop to buy some goodies for everyone to enjoy. Once we were all shopped out we climbed aboard the tram and headed back to school.

A great day was had by all!
