Welcome back everyone,

The children came back full of life and raring to go.

Last half term we worked on North America so this half term we are doing South America which is again very interesting. We have started off with learning the Brazilian story the Dancing Turtle, the children were in stiches with Andrew’s actions.

Lots of Shakespeare rehearsals as its not long now.

To top with week off we had the Rox  dance team come in for us to have a boogie. Then the all important World Book Day which was so colourful with all the amazing costumes and clothes.

Hi everyone, another busy week we do not stop.

We’ve been learning about Cowboys this week for our North America topic. The children have found this really interesting and fun.

There was no swimming this week but fingers crossed for next week.

We practiced some yoga in the classroom and did some mindful colouring in.

Rachel leaves us today to have her baby, which will happen very soon and we will all miss her.

This week we have had lots of fun reading the story of the Three Little Pigs. We loved engaging with all the materials the pigs used to build there houses and were spooked by the appearance of the Big Bad Wolf!

We also created our own houses using straw, sticks and bricks.

We also went under the sea in the sensory room. What a great week we’ve had! Enjoy the weekend everyone!

Happy Chinese New Year to you all!

The class have had a fantastic time this week celebrating the beginning of Chinese New Year. We have been exploring the use of our different senses through sight, sound, feeling and smells.

We have explored different foods from China, painted our own dragons and taken part in a re-enactment of the story of Chinese New Year.

All the class have shown superb engagement and continued to develop their communication skills. Well done everyone!

What a fantastic week we have had again in class. We have begun our topic on Asia where we have started by looking at different aspects of India. We have explored in our Sensory Sessions.

We also had great fun during our Art session where we used powder paint to explore the festival of colour, Holi.

All the children have worked so well, developing their communication skills as well as displaying amazing curiosity and enjoyment. Well done to everyone

What an ‘out of this world’ week we have had. Our classroom blasted off to space as we took flight in ‘Spaceship Hadrian’ to explore the galaxy.

We enjoyed a fantastic sensory play session as you can see from the pictures below. The class was full of engagement, interactions and communication as we took part in water play, cloud dough, ‘rocket ships’ and alien gunk.

This week has also seen a huge leap in the development of the class’ use of Core Vocabulary, particularly when asking for ‘more’ during engagement activities and at snack time. We couldn’t be prouder of how this fantastic group are developing their communication skills, well done everybody!

What a fantastic week we have all had. Our classroom has become a space station. We have spent the week exploring the different sights and sounds of space and made rocket ships ready to launch next week.

We have also had the great excitement of the Hydrotherapy pool opening up. The lights and sounds made it look as though we were stepping off our space ships into an unknown alien planet. Superb exploring from everyone. We all had a fantastic time!

We’ve had another action packed week in class!

We have welcomed a new member to the class and celebrated two birthday’s.

We’ve loved exploring our moon landing classroom as well as looking at and making meteorites.

We have really enjoyed reading lots of stories and taking part in Maths week. We’ve looked at the different shapes and began sorting them too!

It has been great to see so many of the class interact and participate during our morning Circle Time.

We’ve had another fantastic week in class. As well as continuing to look at Autumn, the colours, sounds and textures we’ve also had a go at some cookery! We read ‘The Runaway Pizza’ and then had a go at making our own. As you can see they were delicious and these didn’t run away!

We have also began to get in the spirit for Halloween with a fantastic sensory and exploratory experience. We enjoyed dressing up as witches and ghouls and getting stuck into all the weird and wonderful lights and textures in preparation for our door decoration next week for Halloween. We can’t wait for more Halloween related fun next week!
