Grace’s class have had an amazing end of year trip to Blyth Beach !
We have had such a lovely year and this was a great way to celebrate it.
After an exciting play in the park , we stopped for some dinner at Coastline and enjoyed our food and drink. But it wasn’t long until we were back outside and ready to explore the beach.
We have had such a lovely trip to Tynemouth beach today.
We have had such a busy two weeks in Grace’s class !! We have had two exciting adventures linking to our topic of ‘Natural Things’. We explored Plessey Woods and The Rising Sun Country Park. We loved looking at the beautiful surroundings and seeing what natural things we could see and hear.
This half term our topic is ‘Natural Things’. We have had a busy two weeks collecting , exploring and using natural resources. We started our topic by searching for and collecting lots of different leaves , flowers and sticks around the Adventure Playground and Flow Field to use in our exploration activities.
Using sand and sticks, we practiced our mark making and fine motor skills .
We have also explored and tasted vegetables , we then used them to print and paint some beautiful pictures.
We are looking forward to see what other natural things we can find in the next few weeks !
Our class had an amazing trip to Whitehouse Farm today. We got to see and meet lots of animals, ride bikes , explore the soft play and ride on the tractor !! We have had such a lovely day.
Today we celebrated World Book Day. We all came into school as our favorite book character and participated in lots of lovely activities. This afternoon we had a special World Book Day assembly where we learnt some new songs and had a catwalk to show off our beautiful costumes.
This half term our topic has been all about animals .We have really enjoyed our sensory story of ‘ We’re Going On A Bear Hunt ‘. We got to experience and explore lots of new and different textures linking to the story.
We have also done an ‘Old McDonald’ sensory exploration with farm animals. We put the animals into some mud until they were dirty , we then washed our animals in some warm soapy water until they were all clean.
Today we enjoyed painting some cards for people that we love at home.
We have had a lovely first week back; we have celebrated Halloween with a spooky disco and Messy Sensory Art activities. We also enjoyed our Jabadeao and Hydro sessions, working on our physical and communication outcomes. This afternoon we will experience fireworks on the field, and look forward to seeing any families tonight at our Bonfire Night!
Last week we celebrated Harvest with a special assembly bake off! Our class represented England and made some yummy scones – we certainly had fun getting our hands messy in the mixture!
We also explored lots of different exotic fruit – we used our senses to look, touch, smell and taste the fruit, then we got the paint out and made some beautiful pictures by printing with it.
