Half Term Achiever!

10th February 2023Marc Teasdale

What a half term we’ve had! We must say a very special congratulations to our Half Term Achiever, Ibraheem! Ibraheem has made incredible progress in his communication and his confidence in all areas has soared! He is a lot less reluctant to step outside of his comfort zone and he is getting really good at refusing things he doesn’t want using his VOCA! Check out Ibraheem’s amazing achievements right here!

Thank you to everyone who has returned their Shakespeare reply slips and to those that have booked an appointment for Parents’ Evening on Thursday 9th March – if you would like an appointment please do let me know.

One week left until half term – where has the time gone!?

Have a great weekend everyone!

What a term it’s been! Here we are right on the cusp of the Christmas holidays and I must say that each and every child in our class has made amazing progress this term! As we entered the Christmas season, we had loads of fun getting involved in Christmas activities from sledging and bowling to making cakes! Check out Episode 6 of our class Blogcast right here!

We had a great time when we went bowling this week at Namco Funscapes! lots of fun was had, lots of pins were knocked over and lots of McDonald’s was eaten! Check out some photos below:

Our Christmas party was great too! We all loved the music, dancing and games and were thrilled with our presents from the big man himself!

Every Time a Bell Rings…

16th December 2022Marc Teasdale

Well done to everyone in Class 12 for their amazing contributions to our Christmas performance! This year’s theme was classic Christmas movies and we opted for ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’! Our cast absolutely shone (as always) and we could not be prouder of you all – check out some photos below!

It’s Christmas time and George Bailey (James) is feeling ever so sad! Fortunately his guardian angel, Clarence (Jack) is on hand to remind him of what a wonderful life he has. With a little help from his friends and his wife, Mary (Sophia), George remembers what a wonderful life he has and Clarence earns his wings in the process!

Thank you to everyone who attended and well done to our friends form across the school who put on amazing performances over the last two days.

Have a great weekend – one week to go!

Gruffalo Soldier

2nd December 2022Marc Teasdale

What a great week it’s been! Aside from our amazing Advent Assembly, we have also pulled our acting hats out of the cupboard in preparation for the upcoming Christmas performance. We practiced our skills with a dramatic retelling of The Gruffalo! We created actions for each animal and demonstrated amazing facial expressions when in character! Check it out below:

We must also say a massive congratulations to our half term achiever, Sehrish!

She has inspired us all with amazing reading, communication and physical skills! Check out her presentation here!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Travels and Rhythm

4th November 2022Marc Teasdale

Good afternoon everyone, we’ve had a fantastic (and not to mention SPOOKY) first week back here in Class 12! We started the week with Halloween itself! We were all dressed up in the most creative and scary costumes and managed to get in a spot of Trick or Treating before the our Halloween party in the afternoon! Take a look below:

We also had our very first trip to Newcastle City Centre this week! James and Jack caught the bus with our friends from Scott’s, Rachel’s and Shirley’s classes into town where they made their way to the Grainger Market Cafe for a snack and a drink. Check it out below:

We had great fun in our poetry sessions this week! We managed to write our own versions of ‘Splish Splash Splosh’ as well as use drums to create rhythm while we performed these! We all did a terrific job, take a look below:
