On Tuesday it was our turn to use the Yurt. We filled it with our comfy cushions, some books, toys and our favourite box of songs. On our way to the yurt we stopped off to to collect some beautifully coloured leaves and some twigs to do our art with. It was a bit wet so we took it in turns to go and have an explore. When we were all back together we used our leaves to do some printing and sticking as well as singing some autumn songs. We also had some time to play with toys, explore the yurt and have a snack before packing back up and heading to the classroom.
This week we welcomed Ibrahim and Luke into our class. Ibrahim started on Monday and Luke on Thursday, they have both settled really well and shown us just how much they enjoy school by all the smiles they have been giving us.
Some of the activities we have enjoyed this week have been the Sensory Room, rebound, floor play and especially Music Therapy with Bev.
This week we welcomed Henry into class, he’s had great fun exploring lots of different sensory media and listening to all his new friends singing and talking to him.
We read our new book ‘Spot goes to school’ and saw how he made new friends just like us. We also enjoyed some sensory fun with lights and noises and kept fit in P.E. and Jabadao.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and will see you on Monday.
Well it’s been another lovely week here in class. Yabsira joined us on Monday and what a wonderful addition she is to our class, she is always full of smiles and has already made some new friends. This week we have been using lots of small world toys and sensory materials to help us in our play as well as getting outdoors for more fun.
We hope you all have a great weekend and will see you again on Monday.
We would like to welcome back Ella and Phoebe and say hello to our new friends Harry and Zayan. What a wonderful first week it has been. We’ve had lots of outdoor activities and had great fun exploring our new classroom. Here’s some photos to show you just what we have been up to.
Well it’s been a different week for us here at Hadrian and with only a few children in class we have been making the most of getting outside into the internal quad and using some of the large playground equipment. We have been climbing, sliding, swinging, see-sawing and exploring – what wonderful fun we have had.
As the school closes we would like to wish you all well and hope you all stay safe.
We thought you would like to take a look at some of the lovely things we do on a weekly basis at school. We have fun with our friends, share our toys, make music, explore, climb and slide, match and just have a wonderful time.
What wonderful fun we had on World Book Day. We had a special visit from ZooLab who brought a snail, cockroach, millipede and a snake for us to look at and if we wanted to, we could touch or hold them – look at just how brave some of us were! We also had the chance to take part in ‘The Gruffalo’ story yoga as well as getting dressed up as our favourite characters. To end the day we had a special assembly and shared lots of stories.
This term we are reading the story of ‘The Three Little Pigs’. In messy play this week we used lots of different coloured pink media and materials to create 3 giant pig faces. We had great fun gluing, sticking and painting. We have also been building houses with bricks and blowing them down again!
Welcome back everyone we hope you had a lovely holiday and are excited to be back at school. This week we welcomed Stacey into our class, she has settled straight in and is already making new friends.
Also this week we had great fun in our special pancake assembly where we watched the adults tossing pancakes high into the air. In class we made our own pancakes, we poured, mixed, cooked and tossed them, then we were able to choose some delicious toppings to go on them, chocolate spread seemed to be a real winner!
