What a wonderful week we’ve had! We have really enjoyed our Science and DT week and have learned lots of new things.
We started our week with an assembly by the Cool Science Guy. He made explosions, created bubbles filled with smoke, and he even set fire to Mr Rollings! In the afternoon, the Cool Science Guy helped us to make slime, which we took home. It was loads of fun to touch the sticky stuff.
We have also enjoyed a trip to the Secret Garden for some bubble-making fun. We were so enthusiastic about the bubble mixture that some of us needed a full change of clothes afterwards!
Some of us enjoyed the den-building activity in the Caterpillar Garden. We had so much fun finding long branches and sticks to create a little camp. We all know how to survive in the wild, now!
Did you come to our science fair? It was such fun to show off our exhibit. Our experiment was based around making cars go fast by sending them down different slopes. Did you have a go? What did you find out?
We were sad not to win the Science Week Bake Off. We made some lovely floral biscuits in a garden filled with edible soil which we thought was a surefire winner, but well done to Phil’s class, who stormed into 1st place with a wonderful chocolate confection.
It’s been a fantastic week, full of exploration and fun. We want it to be science and DT week every week! Have a great weekend, everyone.
