This week we started off with a fabulous trip to Northumberland zoo. We had the chance to explore a mini beast workshop and the children got to experience some creepy crawlies from different parts of the world. We then had the opportunity to have an explore at the different birds of prey, learning that owls have different eye colour’s depending on when they hunt their pray. We then had free range of the zoo and we saw lots of different animals, including artic foxes, snow leopards, lemurs, a lynx, meerkat’s and lots of different farm animals. We had a fabulous day and all the children were exceptionally behaved.
Apart from our trip we have had a fun filled Easter week. We have coloured our own Easter eggs and created our own chicks as well as having lots of fun with our very own real life chicks – unfortunately we had to say goodbye to them today as they have now returned to their farm but we have had so much fun with them watching as they grew from tiny babies.
We also enjoyed welcoming all of our Mammies, Grandma’s and carers into school on Wednesday, we were all very excited to see you all and show you all the hard work we have been doing this past term and we had a full school sing along to join in with too – we do love a good dance in this class.
Today we had an assembly and we all got a certificate for being super at horse riding and very polite, we are all super proud of every single one of our amazing children at how polite and well-mannered they are outside of school – a true representation of the Hadrian School spirit. We also said goodbye to Scott Ball today who has been at Hadrian for 10 years, he is leaving us to start a new career in the farming industry and we all wish him well in his new venture.
We have had such a busy half term here in class and all the children are so deserving of a restful two weeks ready to kick start our summer term, starting with a trip to Nunsmoor fair on Thursday the 28th of April.
From Shirley, Vikki, Lisa and Robina we all wish you a very Happy Easter and Happy Ramdan and we hope you have a lovely, safe and relaxing holiday and we will see you bright and early on Monday the 25th of April.
