This week we have been busy not only with lots of reading for world book day, but we have been doing lots more hard work in Science, English, Maths and P.E.
We started planting some vegetables and herbs in Science, we worked out what we needed to help them grow and got busy putting it all together to look after and watch grow in the coming weeks and months.
In English we have been practising our letter formations to help us with writing our names. In Maths we continued learning about time and made our very own clocks to help us tell the time. Some children have been working hard on creating their own patterns and working out what comes next in a patterned arrangement of coloured blocks.
We also took part in Story Yoga with Ellen for world book day. We listened to the story of ‘The Gruffalo’ and made our bodies into different shapes for all of the animals from the story. We even turned each other into the Gruffalo using pegs for the prickles on his back! This was great fun and the children excelled themselves in the positions they were able to get their bodies in to.
Happy Friday and we hope you all have a great weekend.
