This week we have resumed back to normal routine after a hectic couple of weeks with Shakespeare.

On Monday we kickstarted the week with some Samba dancing. We all loved it so much and we made up our own dance routines, while some of our friends played the drums to the music.

On Tuesday we continued our work with identifying the features of a poster. We had a look at some posters in depth and talked about what the event is, where it is held, how much it costs and when it is. Some of our friends have also started to create their own sensory board relating to Rio Carnivals.

In Maths this week we have continued with our counting skills and recognising and consolidating the concept of different numbers. We have built up our skills in different ways, one of them being Hook and Duck. This was so much fun and it required us to use perseverance and fine motor skills as well as our number recognition skills.

In our science this week we have been learning all about what plants need to grow. We then went outside and we had to identify and match different plants, this got us really thinking about the different features of them. We then made some more fairy circles inspired by the Artist Andy Goldsworthy.

On Thursday afternoon we joined together with Year 6 and we all showed off our Samba dance moves and and drumming skills. We absolutely loved joining Year 6 to all dance together and this is something we will be doing on a weekly basis.

We hope you have a lovely weekend and stay safe.
