Hello and welcome to our blog this week! We have been having lots of fun with lots of activities and we are all working very hard.
In literacy we have been continuing our story No-Bot The Robot, making predictions about what we thought might happen in the story and also going on a search for his bottom ourselves! We carried out a treasure hunt all around the school, following lots of clues! It turned out Ellen had stolen it to use as a tape holder, however it was too small. She then gave it to David in reception to hold his biscuits; however his biscuits were too big. It then went to the nurses because Lee wanted a new hat but it turned out that his head was too big! Kim in the physio department then took it to hold some insoles in but again, it was too small. Nicola, our OT then took it to give to Hannah because she needed somewhere to put her fruit. When we arrived in Hannah’s class it was apparent that it had been there, however she had then informed us of her fury that it was too small to hold her fruit and wouldn’t speak to us! Thankfully, someone took a video of her taking No-Bot’s bottom and throwing it out of her window. We went to retrieve it and found that Andy, our site manager, had then left a note asking ‘who left the bottom here?’ A photo of Andy was then found walking away with No-Bot’s bottom and taking it to the adventure playground. The children then searched hard and thankfully found the bottom!
In numeracy we have been working on measuring, using dominoes to see how tall we all are. In science we have been trying to find some food for Beadle Bot, our class robot, who was so hungry we had to go searching for magnetic and metallic items using a metal detector!
Next week we will be swimming as usual on Thursday and then getting all set for the half-term holidays!
Well done to Usman for getting the weekly achievement certificate in assembly!
Have a lovely weekend and we will see your children bright and early on Monday morning!
