This week we have been busy making bread for the Harvest Festival ‘Bake Off’ assembly on Wednesday. The children enjoyed mixing all the ingredients together and using their cookery skills to knead the dough. We decided to make a yummy cheesy garlic bread to accompany our very own Baltic Flour Mill. The children were excellent at spreading the toppings on to the bread and building the Baltic. They also chose which toppings they wanted on their own garlic breads, fabulous work from all of class 3/4. We called our class creation ‘a night on the town’. It was a tough competition this year with lots of excellent entries; unfortunately we did not win the bake off but we did enjoy eating our creation for snack. We would like to congratulate Coralie’s class who gained the winning tea towel! We would also like to thank everyone for their harvest donations which will be passed on to Newcastle West End Foodbank. This is greatly appreciated.

We have also been busy this week in Science continuing with learning about hard and soft as well as rough and smooth. Some children went on an adventure around school to see what they could find with these properties, whilst others got messy making and exploring play dough.

The class also enjoyed a trip to Lidl yesterday morning to collect some yummy treats for snack, before we set off the children made their very own shopping lists which we used to find and buy the snacks.

Excellent work by everyone again this week. Another week of being super proud of every single one of our children and what they have achieved! Enjoy a lovely weekend.
