It’s all brand new!
This week we’ve had lots of new jobs to enjoy. New outdoor learning, sensory cooking and our friends Leon, Shay and Billy went to see their new school they’ll be going to in September!
On Monday afternoon, accompanied by the glorious sunshine we went for a walk around the mud kitchen and wildlife garden in a quest to find flowers, sticks and soil to use during our new ‘nature’ topic for exploration and investigation. While searching we had excellent talking and focus from everyone!
For messy play we’ve put down our play tools and picked up our aprons to start our new topic – sensory cooking! This term we will be making, baking and decorating our very own cupcakes. Through the term we are taking our time to explore each texture, each smell and each reaction when the ingredients are mixed together. Then of course, tastes testing after our cakes are finished. Yummy!
It was transition week on Tuesday! Leon, Shay and Billy had the chance to go and check out their new school in preparation for September. The boys had a lovely time exploring Sir Charles Parsons, having the chance to meet some new friends, see some old friends and the staff!
Stay tuned!
