Hi everyone,
What a beautiful day Tuesday was! We started the day with a lovely bus drive up, singing songs and talking about what lovely things we were going to be doing. We arrived at Beadnell beach and the views were beautiful. We grabbed the buckets and spades out. Some of us decided that we needed to climb the sand dunes and wave down at our friends who were playing lovely together building sand castles. The children were a little worried about climbing at first, but by the end they were running up and sliding down the dunes.
We then explored the rock pools looking for crabs! We took our bucket and the children were given the choice whether they would like to come or not. We found a lion’s tail and some seaweed! The children enjoyed feeling the wet soggy plants. We sadly didn’t find a crab but we did find some winkles on the rocks. The children seemed disgusted when I said you could eat them. Once it was dinner time, we all had a big race back to where the other children were still playing in the sand. We then had some beautiful fish and chips and an ice cream!
We had a great year 6 helper Javid, who was a fab role model for the children.
We can’t wait for more amazing experiences like this. I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
