Hi everyone,

I hope you have had a great week. We have been very busy, they have worked very hard on their maths skills and we introduced one of our new stories The Enormous Turnip. This story links massively to our Science Topic Pushes and Pulls. They especially enjoyed pushing and pulling me around the room, copying the key signs for the characters names and key actions.

In maths, we have been learning all about patterns and size. The children were great at using the coloured squares, animals and fruit to make various patterns. We have been learning all about size and sorted lots of big and small objects.

We have introduced our new role play area, anĀ Ice-cream Parlour and we all love it. We have been choosing our flavour ice-cream, paying for them, taking orders and eating them! They have great play skills and it’s amazing listening to them organising each other and discussing what they want to eat. On Monday, plans have changed because Wheelbirks is closed. However, we will be attending an ice-cream parlour. The coffee afternoon is still going ahead, I hope you can all attend.

Massive happy birthday to our Sophia! We had such a great party, dancing and playing games also lots of cake!

Well done to Sehrish who received a certificate and medalĀ for her amazing use of her VOCA.

Have a wonderful weekend.
