It began with Children In Need where we were given a very important mission to help Pudsey find his missing spots.
We have had very busy hands doing our Art and Crafts, look at our special work to create our beautiful Sensory Story display.

It was a cold dark night ………. We are really enjoying our new Sensory Story. Its all about a little hedgehog who is looking for his home. We have been using our hands, eyes and ears to discover things that come out at night. Soft fluffy rabbits, long bushy foxtails and spikey hedgehogs What fun we have had!
What an amazing time we have had…

This week we had the pleasure of taking part in the Theatre production from Timberdash. The children were taken into Grubbings Wood by Fox and Mole for a full sensory experience. We met Mr Grubbings who had gone missing from the woods, thankfully we were able to help him feel safe to come back home. We experienced mud, leaves, water and fruits by feeling them with our fingers and on our skin. We enjoyed smelling many aromas and listened to the sounds of animals, birds, rain and wind. We sang songs with Fox, Mole and Mr Grubbings. It was a fun time had by all and we are looking forward to the next production.
We enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the yurt.Off we set all wrapped up, warm and cozy carrying our baskets. On the way we found acorns, pine cones and crunchy leaves. Once we arrived at the yurt we began to explore – long cold carrots, stringy rhubarb , hard conkers and dusty potatoes.Whilst exploring we sang some harvest songs, “one potato, two potato was our favourite !
This week we have had lots of Halloween fun! We all got messy painting pumpkins to hang on our beautiful Halloween tree, which is displayed at the door to our classroom. We enjoyed lots of spider rhymes as well as exploring sticky jelly and slimey spaghettti. We hope you enjoy the pictures!
Rolling, pulling, kneading to make the perfect pie ! Exploring harvest fruit- smooth apples, prickly pears, and juicy Scottish blackberries. WOW look at our pies!
As part of our outdoor learning this week we took a step outside to enjoy and experience the wind, using ribbons; feeling the wind on our bodies and being under the parachute while it was waved up and down, fast and slow in time to music. Hopefully you can see how much we all enjoyed this session from the smiles on our faces, eyes open, arms and fingers moving towards the parachute and ribbons.
We have been getting to know new friends and sharing new experiences this week.
