Hi Everyone

We thought you would like to hear about two fabulous activities that we have taken part in during the past few weeks.

Firstly we have contributed “cup and saucer” bird feeders to our whole school outdoor Art Exhibition. The children painted cups and sau cers with their hands or paint brushes  – a very messy activity but also great fun! After they had dried we explored lard and bird seed and mixed them altogether with our hands . We then squashed this into the teacups and stuck the saucer to the cup. We hung them from the trees in the Caterpillar Garden along with some teaspoons which made a lovely jingly sound when the wind blew them.We are hoping that lots of birds will come and taste our delicious bird feed!

Our second activity was a teddybear party in the Yurt. We followed a trail of teddy paw prints all around the Wildlife Garden until they stopped at the door of the Yurt. Once we were comfortably sitting on mats in the Yurt we sang lots of teddybear songs and rhymes and had a teddybear disco! Lots of fun and laughter accompanied!

Hi Everyone

We took advantage of the fine weather last week and went out to explore the Wildlife Garden. We stopped to explore the musical structures and played with the lovely blossom falling from the trees. We then walked round to the pergoda and sung songs and rhymes.

On Thursday we had lots of fun during Music and Movement with the lycra and the teddy bears – the photos say it all. Enjoy!

Hi Everyone

It has been so nice to welcome back more of our class after February half term. We have had a lovely two weeks settling back into our usual routines and having fun with our friends.

We have kept very busy being creative, taking part in a new sensory story, starting a new communication group using UV light in our class sensory suite and exploring toys and textures! We have also worked hard on physical skills.

Hi Everyone

I am sorry for the lack of blogs this term. It has been an unusual term with having to adapt to blended lessons and remote learning for some of our children. That aside we are having our usual happy times in class with lots of smiles and some really lovely progress made. Children who are joining from home have also enjoyed taking part in circle times, Music and Movement, story times etc  and have adapted to this really well.

We have posted some photos of our Zoom sessions and also lots of happy photos of children having fun exploring, communicating, and being creative. This has reflected also our celebration of Children’s Mental Health Week which took place last week.

We hope you enjoy a little insight into this terms work and activities.
