We have had lots of fun working on our fine motor skills during our exploration and messy play sessions! We have been showing curiosity, sustained attention and exploration skills!
Hello everyone!
We have had a very spooky themed week this week! On Monday we spent the day in the yurt and we had a special visitor to read us a story! Mavis the witch read ‘Room on The Broom’ and gave us all a sweet treat! We have had lots of autumn themed messy play and today we explored pumpkins and dressed up in our Halloween costumes! We hope you all have a fantastic half term, see you all soon!
Hello everyone!
We have had a lovely week this week, we have particularly enjoyed all of the crawling, climbing and swinging we have done both indoors during PE/Jabadao and outdoors in the Adventure Playground! We have also had a great time celebrating Black History Month, we have started our African themed music sessions and during messy play this week we explored shaving foam, this was invented by a famous black scientist George Washington Carver. Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
Hi all! We had a lovely time last week spending the day in our school yurt! It was great fun exploring all of the new sights, sounds and textures. Some of us had music in the yurt and others played in the mud kitchen then we swapped over before having a lovely snack time together. We have also had lots of sensory fun last week with messy play, food exploration and outdoor learning, child led play and intensive interaction. We are loving getting to know our lovely group of children and they are building fantastic relationships with staff already, we are learning all about their interests and needs and will be planning all of our activities with this in mind. Over the next few weeks we will also be celebrating Black History Month so watch this space for all of our themed activities!
Hi all!
We have had a fantastic first few weeks in Nadia’s Class, welcoming some of our lovely new children into school and seeing some familiar faces! We are living in very strange times at the moment as we all know but our children have done fantastically well coming into school! Everyone has settled so well into their new classroom environment and we have had great fun getting to know each other! We have enjoyed lots of outdoor learning such as outdoor art, food messy play and a nature walk. We have also had rebound therapy, singing, jabadao, circle time and lots of child led play and intensive interaction. We look forward to meeting some more of our new children soon! Hope you enjoy our photos!
Hello!
We had a fantastic class trip to Alnwick Gardens last week, it was a little bit rainy but this didn’t stop us having fun! We loved exploring the water features and gardens! We have also had great fun creating our entry for the Hadrian School Art Exhibition! It was a little messy but we were free to create and explore and we have produced a lovely canvas which will be on show at the upcoming exhibition in school! Hope you can make it along to check it out!
Have a great weekend!
Hello everyone!
We have had a lovely week this week! The highlight of our week has been our trip to the Mini Hoppings at Nunsmoor! We were so lucky to be invited to have exclusive use of the fair and we are so grateful as we had the best time! We had a turn on lots of rides and we thoroughly enjoyed all of the sights, sounds and smells! Everyone laughed and smiled for the whole morning, a great experience was had by all!
Hope you all have a great weekend!
We started our Arts Award project this week by visiting The Baltic! We had a fantastic time, every child was engaged in their environment, taking in all of the different sights, sounds and textures. We loved going up and down in the lift and before we left we visited the viewing gallery and had a lovely view of The Quayside. We experienced lots of different art exhibitions and we also visited their sensory room which everybody loved! After lunch, because it was such a nice day, we stopped off at Heaton Park on the way home! A great day was had by all!
We were very lucky in school last week to have a visit from the lovely Bare Toed Dance Company! They were with us for three days and we had a fantastic time! We attended three workshops and two performances. We all had a go on the aerial swing, the trapeze and explored lots of bright and colourful materials. We also really enjoyed listening to the guitar and the drums! It was a fantastic experience and we are so pleased we got the chance to take part! Thank you Bare Toed Dance Company!
