This week we have started work on shape and colour based around our main theme of Circus! The children have been learning lots about shapes and new colour names. They have had lots of fun with colourful frozen paint and made some lovely pictures. They have also been learning about Circus animals and listened to our new student teacher Becky read a story about an Elephant, just like the ones at the Circus. Becky read Elmer, one of the children’s favourite books, and led an activity with them to stick colourful squares onto their own elephant. They have also been learning a Circus Sensory story called ‘A Day at the Circus’ and tried making candy floss in an actual candy floss machine! It was delicious!!!!

They have been working on Circus skills like juggling, stilt walking, clowning around and plate spinning! They are very talented Circus performers!!!!

This week Mehvish got our achievers certificate for tolerating her new AFOs and we had some extra good news from Max who achieved his Block 1 Direct Phonics certificate as well. Max has been reading and spelling really well!
