Well we are closing in on our 2023/24 term and what an amazing time we have all had. Throughout we have focused on our communication and interaction all through different activities and resources.
We have followed our timetable of sessions of rebound, hydrotherapy, massage, music and movement, outdoor learning and exploration. Some of our exploration topics have been kinetic sand, Chinese New Year, Easter, trajectory and natural resources to name a few. We have also had exciting trips out! When we say we have been busy, we aren’t joking!
We have had the opportunity to go into the community when Nunsmoor Fair had a morning open for Hadrian to use. This was a huge success and as ever we are thankful to Nunsmoor Fair having this for us. We also have visited Scotswood Gardens for our summer trip where we could run around, explore our surroundings. Even one of our friends Francis had the opportunity to go surfing at South Shields which has been such an amazing experience.
This year Loveday has created two amazing sensory stories for us and both have had us all engaged. ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ and ‘The Greatest Show’. A mix of the exciting songs and the resources that have been used these have both been a huge hit in our class. We had a week where Mahogany Opera came into school and joined our Jabadao sessions, bringing live music to us.
We had a new arrival into Loveday’s class this year when our Shannon had her little baby girl Mabel. When Shannon and Mabel were ready they both came in to see us and we all loved to see them both doing so well.
As we are coming to the end of our summer term and some of us are leaving to move onto our next journey, we are enjoying a lot of outdoor learning. It has been an amazing year that has been filled with fun, learning, exploring and relationship building and we look forward to our future ahead and all the luck to our amazing Year 6’s.
