This week has been packed full of festivities at Hadrian! All the children had such a fun time participating in all our Christmas activities.
We began the week with the pantomime coming into school and performing ‘Dick Whittington’ which kept everyone engaged. We all enjoyed a lovely Christmas lunch and the whole school came together for our outdoor Christmas carol service. Year 6 did an amazing job performing our favourite carols on the mic for the rest of the school.
On Wednesday we had our Christmas party. Everyone looked fab in their party wear and joined in with the games, showing us their best dance moves. We all got such a surprise when we heard the jingle bells ring and Santa joined the party!
Thursday was Hadrian’s ‘National Elf Day’ and we were delighted with everyone’s kind donations, raising a fantastic amount to go towards Hadrian’s new hydro pool. The children had such fun doing the elf trail around school, finishing the day working their elf socks off in our sponsored elf dance/workout.
To round up the week, our class received their medals for their excellent engagement and participation in football throughout the term. Graham was so impressed with the effort each child has put into the sessions and highlighted just how polite each child was when receiving their medals. This afternoon we all got to enjoy watching the Christmas nativity, followed by an assembly to say our final goodbyes to our lovely Deputy Head, Mrs Stokle.
We would like to wish all of our children and their families a huge Merry Christmas and can’t wait to see you all in the New Year!
