We’ve enjoyed another busy week including listening to a real author reading her book and the illustrator showing us how to draw a bear, planting activities, exploring the weather using lycra, art exploration and also making a mini movie!

On Tuesday afternoon we met the author of the book, My Dad is a grizzly Bear via Zoom for a live session. The illustrator, Dapo Adeola was also there. She told us the story and then Dapo led a step by step guide on how to draw a bear. The children were so engaged throughout and we had some wonderful drawings of the bear.

We had a great session exploring the weather using lycra and different props for the rain, sun, wind and snow. We really captured the different types of weather and worked closely together.

We use the lycra in lots of different ways including during Maths for adding and taking away!

We had a great Art session on Wednesday afternoon where we explored colour mixing and also plasticine with lots of materials to decorate our sculptures.

We can’t quite believe it’s almost half term again and then it’s the final half term of the year!
