Our World Book Day assembly was just brilliant-our performance of We’re Going on a Bear Hunt blew everyone’s socks off and 6B’s costumes were amazing! Year 6 also did brilliantly in our St. Patrick’s Day assembly this week with lots of singing and Irish jigs going on! A big well done goes to Kai (Saint Patrick) and Joe (Michael Flatley) who performed their socks off!
In Literacy, we have wrapped up our autobiographies and biographies unit and are now ready to begin a new story-Marc will be teaching the class lessons around Oliver Twist on Monday and we can’t wait! In Numeracy, we are working hard at telling the time and linking it to our day at school. In Humanities, we have engaged in the process of Mummification and are now designing and making our very own death masks. We can’t wait to see them finished!
The children are enjoying their horse riding sessions so much and we can’t believe how confident they are! We have 2 sessions left but wish we had more! They are also doing a brilliant job in our Dance City sessions on Monday mornings.
Everyone is enjoying our Life Skills visits to town. The children are becoming much more confident at paying their own bus fares and ordering their own snacks. We will be visiting Newcastle again after Easter.
Well done to Saffron and Amelia who have both achieved our Half Term Achiever’s certificates over the past 2 weeks. We are so proud of your achievements!
