We began our first week with a catch up finding out what we all got up to in the holidays and checking if we had a special visit from the Easter bunny. Our day was filled with role play activities and lego therapy. In the afternoon we headed out on a trip to ASDA to find our ingredients for our food technology lesson later in the week. on our trip we worked on our social sight vocabulary and social skills in store.

Tuesday was a fun filled day with an introduction to our new topic. we will be learning all about our fabulous city Newcastle upon Tyne we will be having lots of trips out exploring our city and what it has to offer. We had a lovely discussion about what makes us special and our likes and dislikes.

On Tuesday afternoon we headed on our first topic trip of the year which was to the angel of the north.

We continued our topic work with our food technology lesson where we used our ingredients to make Pease pudding. We counted out our yellow split peas and left them to soak before adding salt and pepper and allowing them to cook. we then tried our Pease pudding to see if we like the taste and textures. In the afternoon we used our creative skills and made our very own angel of the norths by paper mache.

Thursday morning we had outdoor learning in the sunshine. We went on a  frequency word hunt in the flow field ticking off and sounding out new and old words that we have found. We then had some time on our trim trail practicing our balancing and coordination skills. After lunch we split our class in half and had lots of fun.  Half of us went horse riding and half went into the thrive room.

Assembly was how our Friday morning began where we sang our favorites songs and talked about our week and holidays. we celebrated pout friends achievements and then headed outside for a extended play with our friends.  In the afternoon we had a body awareness session working individually and then with a partner.
