What an amazing half term its been! There’s been progress and celebrations and fun fairs and birthdays and lots and lots of fun! We have thoroughly enjoyed learning all about Newcastle and absolutely LOVED travelling into town on the bus and putting our amazing communication and social skills to the test in real world situations!

We paid ourselves on to the bus and found a seat together, chatting and joking as the bus drove us into town. When we arrived (after pressing the bell of course) our very own James used his VOCA to direct the group to the cafe where we all ordered and ate our snack (with very minimal support!)

Afterwards we headed to Tesco where Jack was able to ask for help in finding what we needed and pay for it at the till.

We must also say a massive congratulations to our half term achiever James for his amazing independence and confidence as demonstrated by his incredible VOCA skills, problem solving and mature attitude! Well deserved!
