Hi,

Sorry for the late blog we have been having too much fun. I hope you all had a lovely Easter. We have started a new topic ‘The Farm’, we have been reading our new story What the Ladybird Heard’. The children love having one animal each and saying the sounds, they take such an active role in the story. We have recently learnt what a goose is and a hog. We have had lots of farm related activities, especially by linking animal sounds to the correct animals. We were accidently given packed lunches so we seized the opportunity to visit Ouseburn Farm last week to see the lovely animals. When we were eating lunch we even saw our very only ladybird!

This week, we have been learning to match baby animals to their Mothers and we have been playing in our very own farm. Yesterday, we enjoyed counting ladybird spots and baby chicks. We have had a fine motor lesson and writing lesson today, the children are learning to copy lines and circles.

We are now on an art mission, to create lots of pieces for the upcoming Art Exhibition.

Next week, Tuesday 7th May, we are going to Beadnell for the day as year 6 are having a residential and we are going to visit. Have fish and chips and explore the local area.

We are currently trying to book Broomhouse Farm for June. So fingers crossed.

I will send a letter with dates as soon as possible.

Thank you,

Jess and the team
