Hi everyone,

What a week, filled with Science and D.T!

We started the week with an AMAZING Science assembly, that blew our minds! We watched Mr Rollins being set on fire, bubbles that can be held and release gas and someone’s hair nearly being blown off! We then had a great slim making work shop, I hope you enjoyed them at home as much as we enjoyed making it. We then visited the brand new water wall and played in the sandpit filling and emptying.

On Tuesday, we explored the light and dark sensory room, the children loved climbing into the black out tent and projecting the animals onto the ceiling. We then had swimming and made some sensory bottles!

On Wednesday, we began the building of our boats. They were in teams of two and were given scissors, tape and stickers! We have some strong competitors. We then had a lovely afternoon playing with bubbles, we made huge bubbles and tiny little bubbles!

On Thursday, we headed down to the Science Fair to complete our elephant toothpaste experiment. We mixed lots of special ingredients and it spilled over the bottle in a thick foam! Simultaneously, we had our baking hats on and made a special cake for the Bake Off this morning. We didn’t win but we were a contender for the taste!

This afternoon, we are going to explore the Star Lab and complete our boat sailing! Fingers crossed they don’t sink to the bottom on the hydro pool!

The children have been fabulous scientists, completing experiments and working really hard off timetable! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Many thanks,

Jess and the team!

rs to create their very own sailing boat for our competition this afternoon!
