Hi everyone,

What a lovely week! We have had so much fun enjoying the last few weeks with the children and we had a great morning working on our farm. We set up various stations including milking a cow, sheering a sheep and cleaning the muddy pigs. This sensory lesson also worked on their fine motor skills and their speaking and listening skills.

We have been reading Oliver’s Garden and a vegetable patch magically appeared in our classroom. There was various hidden vegetables we had to dig around for. We found carrots, an onion, potatoes, mushrooms and carrots. We learnt all of the signs and chose our favourites. We decided to explore the different vegetables by using the carrots to mark make and the potatoes to print with. Sophia even gave them a taste!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend! One more week to go and then they will be big Year 2s! We have had a lovely student Savana in all week who has been a great help and is loved by the children.

Well done to Mason for receiving our certificate for being a trooper.

Erin, Mason and Sehrish all had their hair cuts today and they were such brave superstars! They all received a sticker (I doubt it will still be on their t shirts).

Thank you,

Jess, Katherine, Sharon and Michele
