This week we have really been working hard across the curriculum and getting back in to the swing of things. The children have particularly enjoyed and worked well in PE, Cookery and Phonics.
We have enjoyed getting physical this week and getting our bodies moving and stretching in PE and Cosmic Yoga. We have also been working on our fine motor skills through the use of mark making, shaving foam and using magnets. In cookery we made some scrumptious jam tarts which the class enjoyed for snack, they used lots of skills to make them including rolling, cutting and filling. In Phonics the class enjoyed working on their sound discrimination skills and going outdoors with beaters to make their own sounds. In literacy we have continued with our story Stick Man and in Numeracy we have been building on our knowledge of numbers and counting as well as learning about big and small.
On Tuesday we had our first class trip out and went to the Angel of the North. It was such a successful trip we are heading out again next Tuesday to the Quayside!
Another fantastic week in class 3/4. We are all looking forward to another busy week starting Monday.
