We’ve had another great week here in Marc’s class – you can watch Episode 12 of our Blogcast on Monday (technical issues!)
We thoroughly enjoyed our Chinese New Year celebrations this week – we loved trying different Chinese food in assembly (the stir fry and rice was delicious!) and we also loved roleplaying the story of Chinese New Year and the Zodiac. We each played a different animal of the Zodiac and made our way across the ‘river’ just like in the tale. You can check this out in the video above. We also made some Chinese lanterns to mark the occasion, check it out below:
We also created some amazing backdrops for our comic book display based on our superhero film (you can check this out here!). The final result is absolutely amazing, check out the process below:

We’ve had a great fortnight here in Marc’s class! But first we would like to congratulate our half-term achiever, Jack! Jack has made amazing progress with his social skills as well as his listening and for generally being everyone’s bestie! You can check this out here!

Due to the last week of Autumn Term being something of a whirlwind, we didn’t get a chance to upload our fabulous elf video – although Christmas is done for another year, you can still enjoy this here!

What a fortnight it’s been! We have of course been getting right into the Christmas spirit but we have also brought this term’s superhero topic to a close in a suitably epic fashion! Check out our own Marvel inspired short film, ‘The Adventures of Marc’s Class’, here!
In groups, we discussed what made us and our friends special – our superpowers! We then used this to write our very own comic books! We chose our own costumes and then demonstrated some amazing poses for our front covers! We can’t wait to share the comics with you all but until then, here is a taste of what to expect:
We had a great time on our Christmas trip to Newburn Riverside this week! We took part in an elf hunt so that we could help Santa get his elves back to the workshop in time for Christmas. Check it out below!
We also had a great time at our coffee afternoon! Thanks to all the everyone that attended!

Welcome back everyone! After a lovely relaxing week off we’ve jumped right back into school mode with lots of hard work and fun this week. We got right into the Bonfire Night spirit with some firework themed artwork. We used a variety of colours to create our own firework displays. Check them out below!
We loved our school firework display – we all had a great time, singing Bonfire themed favourites and watching the amazing colours unfurl above our heads. Check it out below:
We also put our amazing acting skills to the test in our short film where we roleplayed the story of Diwali. You can check this out here!

We started the week with a treasure hunt! We collected lots and lots of different pictures from around the adventure playground. We looked at each one and performed an action to represent the character:
The characters are the main players in the ancient story of The Minotaur! We had a great time using these actions to tell the story as a group:
On Wednesdays we put our cooking skills to the test and made our very own pizzas! We chose the toppings we wanted to use and added these to each of our bases. Check out the process below:
