⭐️ Kirkleatham Museum & Grounds – Fantastic free entry museum with a great play ground, woodland walk and plenty of picnic space
⭐️ Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens with a trails, fish, 2 art galleries and lots going on over Summer
⭐️ Great North Museum: Hancock – We love this museum! Dino’s, fossils, and Egyptians
⭐️ Discovery Museum – A fantastic museum with lots to see. We love the interactive Science section on the top floor
⭐️ North East Land, Sea and Air Museums – Fantastic Sunderland based museum where you can take a look at vintage Planes and other forms of transport.
⭐️ Bailiffgate Museum – Explore the two floors of history from the last 10,000 years in Alnwick.
⭐️ Dorman Museum A great museum in Middlesbrough, we found the bird room really fascinating. It also has Dino’s
⭐️ South Shields Museum & Art Gallery – A lovely small museum with a pets corner and art gallery, they also have a gorgeous tea room.
⭐️ National Museum of the Royal Navy Hartlepool Take a look around HMS Trincomalee the oldest floating British war ship!
⭐ Preston Park Museum and Grounds is a fantastic day out and there’s always lots to see and do. Very reasonably priced too.

🚆 Public transport is a great way to get around the trail! Up to three children aged 11 and under can travel free with an adult on Tyne and Wear Metro and Arriva North East buses and under 21s can travel for £1 per single ticket on Go North East buses
🔓 Remember to input a 4-digit code for each big Shaun and one per Little Flock to unlock rewards and milestones. Just look at the plaques to find your code!

By law local council’s are required to keep a Disabled Children’s Register. We use it to help us improve services now and in the future.
By being on the register you will be kept informed of what services are available and how you can get involved if you want to. Joining the register is voluntary but if you register your child we will:
- Give you a Max Card to get discounts into various cultural venues across the region.
- Let you know how we have used your information every year at our annual parent-carer conference
- Send you our newsletter
- Keep you updated on what we can offer you
- Update you about new developments in services for disabled children
- Inform you of ways you can get involved.

The Max Card is the UK’s leading discount card for foster families and families of children with additional needs. Families can use their Max Card at venues across the UK to get free or discounted admission.
The scheme is designed to help families save money on great days out at castles, zoos, bowling alleys, trampoline parks and many more. Search for great days out here.
We aim to provide a sense of community through stimulating learning experiences and enjoyable days out for everyone.
We are offering free SEN soft play sessions over the summer holidays in our soft play and sensory room.
Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays
10-11 & 11-12 on those days
Starting next week
Due to the funding to offer these sessions, Children must be under 8 and Newcastle residents.
