FREE Social Stories Workshop
Family Fund are running a FREE online workshop on Social Stories..
iPad session: Thursday 13 February at 10.30am
Android session: Thursday 13 February at 1.30pm
Social stories help children with additional needs to develop a greater social understanding of how the world around them works, help them stay safe and explain scenarios like:
A trip to the shops
Getting ready
Going to school
⚕️Going to the doctor, and more.

LOTS of our Autistic families require support around toileting. The Toby Henderson Trust are running a FREE webinar delivered by an Autism Nurse

If your child has a physical impairment and is aged between 8 and 17 years old, then they can play wheelchair rugby. Wheelchair Rugby is a mixed gender sport and has two versions of wheelchair rugby, catering for different levels of impairments.
Your child does not need to be a wheelchair user to play, every child who has a permanent physical disability can play wheelchair rugby.

Wheelchair Rugby Junior Engagement Session
– 8 to 17 years old

– 1pm to 4pm

We are very pleased to be able to offer some free SEND Christmas activities in December!
Our first activity is Wreath Making on Saturday 7th December!
We have two sessions available:
Family session 10:00 – 12:00
Adult only session: 13:00 – 15:00
Location: Gosforth Civic Theatre
Our second activity is an accessible cinema screening for the full family to watch Polar Express on Sunday 15th December, 11:00am at Cineworld Newcastle
Our events are available to families of children with SEND living within Newcastle upon Tyne local authority area. You must also be a member of Newcastle PCF – Its free and easy to sign up (just let us know when booking!)
