Well what an amazing last week we’ve had at school. The sun has shone and we have had so much fun playing indoors and out. We would like to take the opportunity to thank all the children for making this year so fabulous, your children have kept us smiling and laughing during what has been, for everyone, an extremely difficult time. Also a huge thank you to all the parents for all the support and kind wishes you have given us. We hope you all have a lovely summer holidays and will see you all again soon.
What an active week we’ve had at school!
Despite the weather we have enjoyed activities each day – on Monday we had a Dragon Dance as our part in the Opening Ceremony ( we are representing China) and we waved our red flag with yellow stars on.
On Tuesday we laughed loads while we were ‘Welly Wanging’! we also took part in a Yoga session in the Yurt and a Jabadao obstacle course in the Sports Hall.
On Wednesday we went on an obstacle course set up in the Caterpillar Garden and later in the day we enjoyed Music and Movement – cheerleading, line dancing and Chinese dancing!
ON Thursday there were Table Top Sports to take part in, bikes and the wheelchair Races.
Friday was the Closing Ceremony – lots of dancing and activities arranged by Dance Rox.
We have had so much FUN.
This week we have been getting ready for our ‘Sports Week’ next week. We are representing China. We have enjoyed finding out interesting things about China, making flags, lanterns, Chinese dragon masks and listening to Chinese music.
Next week as well taking part in different sport activities we will be enjoying making and tasting some Chinese food and dressing up in special outfits.
As the weather has been so nice this week, we decided to spend as much time as possible outdoors.
We enjoyed lots of different activities such as music making, learning about colours and numbers, looking at our shadows and generally having lots of fun.
Have a good weekend everyone.
What wonderful fun we had on Thursday morning playing in our paddling pools and soaking our feet in the foot spas. We loved splashing around, sieving the water and even pouring it over our own heads.
What a fabulous day we had helping Harry celebrate his 5th birthday. As a special treat Harry was able to choose a film to watch in the morning – he chose Frozen which was a big hit with everyone After the film we played party games and danced with balloons before having an amazing party snack sent in by Harry’s parents. At the end of the day Harry took great pride in handing out his party bags to all his friends. Huge thank you for all the wonderful treats a fabulous day was had by all.
After making Eid cards for our friends last week we thought this week we would make some cakes to have a party to help celebrate Eid. We used blue icing with sprinkles and stars to decorate them and had great fun eating them along with lots of other snacks today when some of our friends were back in school.
What great fun we had today helping Phoebe celebrate her 5th birthday. We had a lovely party in the class with lots of dancing and party games as well as some really yummy food which Phoebe brought into school. Phoebe loved blowing out the candles on her Cylde the Caterpillar cake and gave out party bags to each of her friends which were filled with goodies from home. A huge thank you to Amy, Phoebe’s mum, for all the party supplies it was greatly appreciated and everyone had a fantastic day.
Also this week we have been learning about Ramadan and Eid. While doing this we have been decorating lanterns, moons and stars as well as making Eid cards to send home to our friends and families.
What another fun filled week we’ve had. We have been exploring outdoors, used the big apparatus in P.E. as well as sensory and free play. Hope you all have a lovely bank holiday weekend and we will see you back on Tuesday.
