Happy New Year everyone and welcome to our first blog of 2023. On Sunday the 22nd January it is also Chinese New Year and we love to celebrate in true Hadrian style! This week in our class we enjoyed a Chinese New Year themed exploration session to get us all in the spirit. We listened to traditional Chinese music and explored some traditional Chinese clothing. We also loved getting messy using foam which was coloured red to represent good luck and fortune!

Our Chinese New Year assembly was a hit with our class too. The children loved singing and dancing to ‘Gung Hay Fat Choy’ which is our favourite song about New Year. We also enjoyed tasting lots of food such as noodles, fortune cookies and lots more! The dragon dance got us all up on our feet and some of us even joined in the parade.

We’ve also worked super hard doing lots of our usual activities: Swimming, Jabadao, Sensory Story, Soft Play, Outdoor Learning and Exploration.
