Happy New Year!
I’m glad to report that I am now back full time and hoping to remain fit and healthy for 2020! There is so much news to catch up with from school and beyond. Last week we all enjoyed a Burns Ceilidh with the school band performing brilliantly. This week we celebrated the Chinese New Year with guests from the Chinese community who were amazed at our wonderful children. They invited me to their celebrations last night at The Palace Gardens and presented school with a cheque for £1,000 which is so generous. Before Christmas we were also overwhelmed with support from so many friends of Hadrian School including the High Street Group, Blakelaw Social Club, Clarke Mairs Solicitors, Jeremy Beecham, The Botanist and many more, we are so grateful to one and all.
Thanks also to our friends from Stagecoach for donating a bus to school. It has now been fitted with heating and electricity and is being put to great use already for story telling, role play, Makaton Signing Club and much more.
We hope to see many of you here at school for a social evening of fun and song on Thursday 13th February, tickets £1 available from school now.
Thursday 26th March will be our annual Parent’s Evening, however, you don’t need to wait until then to pop in and have a chat about your child’s progress and wellbeing in school, it will be great to see you whenever you can make it in.
Finally, I just want to take a moment to echo all the good wishes and support for Aaron’s family as they, and we, come to terms with the loss of this much loved little boy. As yet we have no details of his funeral but we will let you know as soon as we do so you can join us and pay your respects if you so wish.
I hope you are all enjoying catching up with your class Blogs, well done to the Hadrian Team for all they do for your children each and every day.
Best wishes, Chris
Its so lovely to see you back at school and looking so well, you were a huge miss. I cant wait to see the bus and would love some pictures on the blog of the children enjoying it if possible.
