This half term in art we are working on Sculptures. We looked at different sculptures around our school and also on the Smart Board. We were particularly interested in The Angel of the North. We used clay to make our own models and then decided we would like to visit the real Angel of the North on the school mini bus.

As we travelled to it the bend in the A1 made it look as if the Angel was moving from right to the left side of the road. We were fascinated and thought it was flying around! It was mighty cold up on the hill but we loved seeing the Angel and were amazed at how big it was. We all did a wonderful sketch of it and we will be making our own models using different materials.
