Hello everyone.

This week has been a tad shorter than normal, but now that we are back we have been having a great time. We had a lovely time making a pottage (a type of medieval broth) with leeks, parsnips & onions. It went down very well and many children requested multiple extra bowls of it during snack time. We have also spent some time continuing to explore our topic of castles. The children were making their own castles out of lego and the big blocks. Some of them were very detailed… with gates, flags and battlements. Kaleb even decided that his castle needed an army of soldiers to protect it.

We would like to say a special shout out to Anthony who has earned our certificate this week for his castle. He was incredibly focused when making it, he thought carefully about the layout, he made a flag (which is tricky to do with lego), he added a drawbridge & even a gatehouse. Well done Anthony!

We hope you all have a lovely weekend and we look forward to seeing you all again next week.
