This week we started off our sensory story about the Romans, we explored the sound and movement of clocks. We also explored different facial expressions we could use to show we were bored and tired. We then began to dress up as a Roman soldier preparing for war.
To carry on our topic of the Romans, we took a trip to the food technology room and we made apple pie. We had to peel and chop the apples up into small pieces and then boil them. Once we had done that, we then used our tickling fingers to rub the butter, sugar and flour together to make the crumble.
On Wednesday, we went down to the Mud kitchen, which we love! In the afternoon we then made some Roman shields. These were amazing and we shall soon be fully armored to become a Roman soldier.
On Thursday, we started our weekly meditation sessions. We made the room lovely and cosy and we began to practice our breathing techniques. This helped us to become more relaxed and recognise how it feels when we are calm. In the afternoon we then went down to the THRIVE room. We love dressing up and role play and some of us even met a policeman while in school.
We hope you have a lovely weekend and stay safe!
