We had such a brilliant time celebrating World Book Day yesterday. We were amazed and delighted with the range of costumes the children were dressed in. Thank you so much for taking the time to dress up your child. We prepared the room before the children arrived with a spooky theme for our story of the day “Winnie the Witch” There was subdued lighting and spooky music playing. The children were so excited when they arrived. We listened to a wonderful story told by our Head Girl, Emma and also explored “Winnie the Witch” and “Room on a Broom” (as Lydia was dressed wonderfully for the story) Throughout the morning We made magic potions, magic wands and also spooky black dough.

In the afternoon we went into the Sports Hall to watch a performance of “Going on a Bear Hunt” and also listened whilst Nathan told his special story “The Tortoise and the Hare” to the whole school!. Well Done Nathan. To finish off the day the children showed their costumes on the “Catwalk” Kate was our representative and show cased her costume to perfection.

What a brilliant day. Exhausting but well worth it.
