On Tuesday we were very lucky and had a visit from the magician ‘Magic Matt’. Matt had heard about our school being vandalised and came from Wakefield to give us all a special treat. We had lots of fun watching his show!
This week we have worked really hard in art. We used different textiles to create a collage of the first letter of our names. We all worked independently and produced some excellent art work.
This week we started new topics in art and science. In art we are going to be working with textiles and in science we are looking at health and growth.
On Tuesday we had some cycling coaches come into school to teach us how to ride balance bikes. We were so good at riding the bikes that the two coaches are going to come into school after Christmas for 5 more cycling lessons – some using proper bikes with pedals!
Today we had a lovely party to celebrate Ellie May’s birthday.
We have had a busy first week back in school doing lots of fun things! We continued our topic work on trains with some role playing. We learned how to buy a ticket, how to safely board a train and how to show our ticket to the conductor.
We have been doing some work on ‘measure’ in numeracy and in art we made some poppies which will be used for a Remembrance Day display and also our Remembrance Day assembly on Monday.
We have had a lovely first half term getting to know everyone and have already achieved so much in such a short space of time!
This week we have been doing lots of fun Halloween activities including pumpkin carving, making spiders in Art and making eyeballs in cookery! We finished the week with a Halloween party where we danced, played games and of course had a lovely party snack!

We have had a few problems with our blogs which mean we haven’t been able to blog for the past few weeks. The main problems have hopefully been fixed and any minor problems will be getting fixed over the coming weeks.
