Out and about at Christmas!

10th December 2018Nadia Motie

Hello!

We have had two lovely trips over the last couple of weeks to see the sights and sounds of Christmas around Newcastle! We had a lovely time at the Garden Centre exploring their brilliant winter wonderland display and looking at all their Christmas lights. On Friday we visited Fenwick’s window and saw their beautiful display of The Snowman! Watch this space for photos of our final Christmas trip to Hall Hill Farm to see Santa!

We have also explored a Nativity sensory story and enjoyed a visit from Chris Bostock who did a fantastic storytelling session!

We have been very busy making our Christmas cakes, Christmas cards and preparing our video for our Christmas performance!

3A Have Been Feeling Festive

7th December 2018Simon Hall

This week in 3A we have been getting into the Christmas spirit. On Monday morning we had our Advent assembly and the official turning on of our Christmas lights.

On Monday afternoon some of our children went out carol singing at Grainger Market with our school choir.

On Tuesday we had a visit from a group of storytellers to tell us a delightful Christmas story about a snow bear.

We have spent a lot of time this week working on various Christmas crafts, including painting our new class display, making festive candle holders as well as making and writing Christmas cards.

Some of our children also went to the Hadrian Salon today to have their hair and nails done.

We have all thoroughly enjoyed this week and we look forward to seeing all of the children next week for more festive fun.

Fun Times in 3A

30th November 2018Simon Hall

We have had a lot of fun in 3A this week.
We had our fortnightly trip to Byker pool on Wednesday, we have been painting some trees to create a winter wonderland for our Christmas fete and we wrote letters to Santa.
Here are some pictures of our children enjoying themselves out and about at playtime.

Some of our children also had a great time at football club on Friday.

A big well done to Charlie L for getting our half term achiever award today. Charlie has done fantastically well over the last half term and we are all very proud of him.

A Magical Week in 3A

23rd November 2018Simon Hall

Hello everyone.
This week we have done some hard work and had lots of fun. We have continued to explore light and shadows by blocking torchlight with different shapes, we acted out the story of Rama & Sita in our R.E. lesson, we watched a magic show and on Thursday we had a very special visit from some police horses called Harry Potter & Pluto.

Well done to Perrylee for getting our weekly achiever certificate this week for doing fantastic work during our letters and sounds sessions and also to Anthony for getting a medal for doing absolutely amazing signing all week.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend.

A lovely week!

20th November 2018Nadia Motie

Hello!

We had such a lovely time last week in our class! We had a great time visiting Sir Charles Parsons school to attend the opening of their new playground! It’s fantastic and we really enjoyed seeing some of our old friends there! Some of us visited the Quayside on Tuesday morning for outdoor learning and we also had an impromptu trip to The Metrocentre to see the Christmas lights and the lovely lady who drives the train kindly let us all have a turn! It was great fun! On Friday afternoon we had a surprise visit from Pudsey Bear!

Hope you enjoy our photos!

What have we been up to?

9th November 2018Nadia Motie

Hi Everyone!

Here is a quick snapshot of what we have been up to this week! We had a great time at the bonfire on Monday afternoon! At first it was a little bit loud but then we really enjoyed being with our friends and watching the fireworks! On Tuesday some of us went to the rising sun for outdoor learning and on Wednesday we enjoyed music therapy and we celebrated Diwali with our own festival of light! On Thursday some of us visited the Alan Shearer Centre and others enjoyed an autumn story! Today we have celebrated our friend’s achievements in assembly and this afternoon we have been painting our poppies for Remembrance assembly on Monday.

We hope you have a fantastic weekend and we will see you all on Monday!

Our First Half Term

8th November 2018Simon Hall

Hello everyone. Welcome to class 3A’s blog.

We have had an absolutely fantastic first half term in class 3A. We have all had a wonderful time doing lots of fun activities, including going to see the Angel of North and the Millennium Bridge. The children have all worked incredibly hard over the past 8 weeks and we have all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Here are some pictures to show some of the fun things that we have been up to over the past half term.

We apologise for the technical problems that have prevented us from blogging until recently. Hopefully these problems are now resolved and we can blog on a more regular basis.
