The children have all enjoyed experiencing ‘Easter’ in class this week. They have had fun playing in spring themed sensory trays and getting messy with chocolate and shredded wheat. The children have also made cards for home by exploring paint and cotton wool to make their own unique chicks which were full of character! We’ve also enjoyed singing our favourite Easter songs in class and assembly to remind us of this fun and special time.
The staff and children also had a great time at our school ceildh – everyone loved getting up and dancing to the live music! The band were made up of our talented staff and Mr Rollings and Mrs Stokle did the ‘calling’ to help us all with the steps!
We are looking forward to our Easter Parade around the wildlife garden this afternoon to show off our bonnets we have made.
The Easter treats the children are bringing home have been very kindly donated by our friends from Stagecoach Buses, Walkergate College and Richard Knox (brother of our staff member – Lyndsey Allen. Yum!
Finally, we hope everyone has a lovely spring break – let’s hope we get some nice weather! Coralie and team.
