On Monday it was Halloween. We all came to school dressed up in our costumes and had a Halloween party with our friends. It was great fun!

In the morning we had a witchy sensory story. We made a potion using lots of different ingredients, some of them were very yucky (like witches hair and snot, yuck!). In the afternoon we had a disco with friends from other classes. We all danced to spooky music in the sports hall and played party games. Before going home we had a Halloween tea party and ate some cakes and sweets. What a fun Halloween!

On Tuesday we did lots of work on our maths skills. We really enjoyed singing Halloween themed number songs. Some of us went to the library to do some counting and number work too.

In the afternoon we went outside with a checklist of things we had to find. We all worked together to tick off every item on the list. Great teamwork! After that, we went to the thrive room to do some role play and turn taking games.

On Wednesday we started talking about Bonfire Night. We made some fantastic firework art using paint, teabags, straws, string, and chalk. We watched some firework videos so we could listen to all of the different sounds that they make. After that, we learnt the signs for ‘firework’ and sang and danced along to the Katie Perry song!

In the afternoon we had some great fun at Rebound Therapy!

On Thursday we had a very fun hydrotherapy session. We are getting very brave when getting in and out of the pool now. After that, we saw some of our friends from other classes at sing school. We learnt some new songs all about fireworks and loved getting to make loud firework noises!

To end the week we had lots of practice with our fine motor skills. We have been writing our names and drawing lots of different shapes, following along the lines with our pens to make circles, triangles, squares, zig zags, and swirls. We also had a dough disco which was very fun!

On Friday afternoon we had a very fun fireworks assembly. We got to see a real bonfire and watch as the fireworks were set off into the sky. They were very loud but we were all so brave!
