Hi everyone! We’ve hope everyone had fun on their three day weekend last weekend and enjoyed a bank holiday Monday in the sun. Despite being a shorter week in school, we’ve managed to cram all four days choc full of fun, play and exploration!

On Wednesday morning we attended a lovely assembly in tribute to a much-loved member of staff, where we all sat very sensibly enjoying the songs and lovely videos. Wednesday afternoon was back to our usual schedule with half of us loving an afternoon of swimming in rebound therapy and the other half of us enjoying our music therapy session with our friend, Tom!

Thursday morning brought us the chance to watch the incredible performance of ‘King Lear’ that our friends in KS2 put on as part of the Shakespeare for schools festival. We loved the sensory elements that the performance had and we couldn’t take our eyes off the show!

We also had the chance to take part in PE this week with Shirley and Phil’s classes which we all absolutely loved. We relished the chance to explore some new equipment and we couldn’t believe how brave our class were; climbing up stairs independently and then jumping off the top onto the crash mats!

On top of all of this fun we’ve managed to fit in our usual lessons of art and cookery, time in the mud kitchen and lots of outdoor learning when the weather allowed! After this very full on week, I think we’re all looking forward to a relaxing weekend ready to refresh for Monday!

Have a good one everyone – Dave and team 🙂
