Hi everyone! 15 sleeps ’til Santa arrives, who else is starting to get excited?!

This week we’ve had an incredibly fun-filled, festive week, started on Monday by getting crafty with salt dough and making our Christmas gifts! We all loved getting to squash and squeeze the mixture and watching it transform from dry ingredients to a rollable, shapable dough! Once this baked overnight in the oven, we spent Tuesday morning releasing our inner Picasso with an array of paint, glitter and festive bits and bobs. We’re over the moon with the finished results, and we can’t wait to bring them home in the last week of school as a special present for our loved ones!

On Wednesday we took a break from the Christmas timetable with a specially organised afternoon of multi-cultural fun! We’re so thankful for our Labli who went to great trouble making sure the event was perfect, with an amazing assortment of dancers, singers, food tasting, henna artists and musical instruments. We couldn’t believe how much there was to explore, and it was incredible getting to experience some new cultures. We were encouraged to create a flag that represented the heritage of one of our classmates, and so we chose to create a huge Nepali flag in order to celebrate our wonderful Subasna!

Thursday was the special day that we got to go on our Christmas trip! We sadly had a couple of classmates unwell so there was only six of us with our grown-ups on the outing, but we still managed to have the best time! We had a great morning exploring The Tim Lamb centre in Benton, and all especially loved their soft play and trampoline rooms. Some of us even got bundled up nice and tightly and braved their outdoor space, it was definitely the adults who felt colder than the children! We were even lucky enough to see our first snow of Winter, which helped to make the trip even more magical.

Finally, just to top off our incredibly jam-packed week, we celebrated Elf Day today! We loved seeing the whole school dressed up in gorgeous outfits and funny elf hats, and taking part in a whole school elf run (indoors of course!) Our class also signed up for a sponsored Elf Bounce this afternoon, which we loved taking part in. Thank you so much to everyone who supported us by sponsoring our class or sending in money, we really appreciate it and can’t wait to find out what we raised both as a class and as a school!

We hope everyone has a restful weekend after this action-packed week, and comes back into school on Monday feeling happy and healthy! – Dave and team 🙂
