Hi everyone,
Sorry the late blog, there has been some issues with my log in. But we are back. We have had a great few weeks in Class 1a. We have welcomed lovely Sophia to Class 1a.
I thought I would share our photographs from our first trip out. The children absolutely loved making their own pizza and enjoyed eating it even more. They were shown how to knead the dough and throw it in the air. The children enjoyed spreading the sauce and layering on their toppings. While the pizza cooked, the children learnt all about different vegetables that are used on pizzas and they all tasted, touched and smelt them. The inspiration for this was because the pizza role play area has been a great success. The children enjoy sequencing using the ingredients, exploring the sensory materials and cooking for their friends.
On Thursday 29th November – we will be visiting Beamish for our Humanities Topic ‘Old and New Toys’.
On Monday 10th November – for our Christmas trip we will be visiting Hall Hill Farm. Thank you to everyone who has sent the money in. It is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for reading,
Jess, Sharon, Kairen, Michele and Katherine
Aw love these photos, the kids all look like they enjoyed themselves! Thank you all for welcoming Sophia into 1A. We look forward to the year ahead. Xxx
