We have had the most wonderful week filled with lots of sports activities.
On Monday, we kicked off our sports week with some football skills. We practiced different ways of moving around with our footballs and also a lot of hand-eye co-ordination skills before the big game! In the afternoon we did some cross country and a spot of Crazy golf. The Crazy golf was quite a challenge, however we showed a lot of resilience and managed to complete the course.
On Tuesday, we went for our final swimming session at Sir Charles Parsons. We are so grateful for them letting us use their pool this year. We have gained so much confidence in the pool and we have developed a range of different skills that will enable us to become even better swimmers.
On Wednesday, the girls from Westfield school came over to do multi-skills with us. This was such an amazing experience for us. We got to practice a range of different skills such as, balancing, throwing accuracy, ball skills and running.
In the afternoon we did some Gymnastics in the hall. This was also another great activity, as we practiced our gross-motor skills climbing and balancing on a range of different equipment. This was so enjoyable and we didn’t want it to end!
On Thursday, we had another fun-filled day full of sports activities! In the morning we did some boxing skills with Chris, which was incredible. We learnt different types of punches and had a go on the pads. We then did some para-Olympic games, followed by Karate with Chris again in the afternoon.
We have absolutely loved sports week this week and we cannot wait for activities week next week with our Year 6 leavers!
We hope you all stay safe and enjoy the weekend!
