Just like that 8 weeks have passed us by and we are all ready to leave for the Christmas holidays. I really can’t believe just how fast these weeks have gone but we have had so much fun getting to know all your fabulous children. They have brought us so much joy over the last 8 weeks, they are all a credit to you. They have handled coming into a new school and meeting new faces with such ease, handling new experiences, transitions and areas they had never been to before. I know us as a team are just so overwhelmed by the progress all of your children have made in such little time. We are in awe of them – they are inspirational!

We kicked off this week with a visit from the Stagecoach Santa were we entered Santa’s grotto on the bus! We are so lucky to have so many fantastic services come to our school and we were so grateful for our selection boxes. We also enjoyed our Christmas party, playing pass the parcel and our old Hadrian favorite ‘corners’, the children had so much fun running around and soaking up the atmosphere. We danced and sang until our socks fell off and then we came back to class where we enjoyed our party food and we even had a visit from the man himself, no not Mr Rollings, SANTA. We were all so excited to see him and he gave us each a special gift for us to take home and enjoy.

On Tuesday we all enjoyed a fabulous festive feast prepared by our kitchen, it was so yummy. We then all went outside in our adventure playground to sing Christmas songs and have a big whole school party with our very own Hadrian School band playing their instruments and singing for all to hear.

We have also been finishing off our Christmas crafts and making sure they were all ready to go and hopefully by now you will have had them home. We really hope you enjoy all of the fabulous crafts we have been making, the children have worked so hard and it will always be something to look back on as the children get older.

Today we have had a quieter day and have enjoyed some choice time and some good old Christmas songs and this afternoon we have our annual Christmas nativity to enjoy to end the day nicely.

Monday 9th of January school reopens and our new topic is all about Asia, we have some very exciting sessions planned all around Asia and we can’t wait to get started.

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year may it be filled with all the happiness in the world.
