All through this week we have been practising and focussing on our roles in the Shakespeare performance of King Lear. It has been a pleasure watching our budding actors listen to the direction of the adult and work in teams as well as in their individual character roles. In English we are learning about and writing biographies. This week our biography was on Mirabel from Encanto. It has been hard for the children not having their own classroom, although they have made their best attempt at settling in. They are excited and looking forward to going back into their own classroom next week. Our topic in maths is progressing too. The children are learning to estimate and then measure objects using different non-standard and standard units.
This week we celebrated national reflection day and our children visited the caterpillar garden where they appreciated the lovely work the whole school had displayed. They sang songs and had fun in the sun. They have been really creative too and made some lovely Mother’s Day cards for you all.
Have a lovely weekend.
